The ZENOTEC T1 represents the epitome of highly automated production in the form of a compact milling machine. The T1 features an incredible total of seven axes, combining the ability to mill simultaneously along 5 axes with specially developed innovative milling strategies and tools, a combination which leaves previous systems far behind. The T1 enters a new dimension of automated craftsmanship. With top speeds of up to 60,000 rpm, the Jaeger hybrid spindle is unrivalled in terms of speed and precision during dry milling, which not only makes it gentle on the workpiece but also saves valuable time and material. The T1 uses two additional disengaged axes to organise the disc logistics – one towards the stack, the other to rotate the stack.

The technological advances embodied in the ZENOTEC T1 are the result of leading-edge process engineering, intelligent digital control, a chassis in high-quality composite concrete reinforced with fibre-glass and the use of tools and milling strategies specially developed for dental applications. The T1 also offers the simplicity of Plug & Play installation. All you need is a power socket, an extraction system and compressed air. It is operated by means of an integrated touch screen display just like the touch screen of a mobile phone.

Fully automatic production is both efficient and cost-effective

ZENOTEC T1 mills dental restorations from disc blanks (ZENO discs) which are up to 25 millimetres thick and have a diameter of approx. 98 millimetres. The system features an optional integrated stack which holds up to 28 ZENO discs made of zirconium dioxide, PMMA or wax from which 35 to 40 restorations can be made depending on the clinical indications. By scanning the unique digital signature of each disc, the ZENOTEC T1 always knows the position of each material in the stack. In addition, the ZENOTEC CAM 4.0 Plus software application records the positions of all restorations made from the blanks so that each blank can be re-used to maximum efficiency. This enables up to 1,000 units to be made with a minimum of intervention on the part of the operator. The high speed at which the milling system operates also contributes to its cost-effectiveness. For crown and bridge work it takes less than eight minutes to make an anterior coping in zirconium dioxide and a three-unit zirconium dioxide bridge can normally be completed in less than 25 minutes.

Duceram LFC material is a special dental ceramic with an extremely low firing temperature.

Depending on the type of furnace used, Duceram LFC is fired at approximately 660°C.

The TEC (25-500°C) of the LFC material corresponds to that of Duceram metal ceramic which means that both materials are compatible.

Duceram LFC fulfills all requirements as set out in the DIN and ISO standards.

Some properties of LFC even exceed those of common dental ceramic materials.

LFC is a patented revolutionary system. Duceram LFC material has surprisingly high density and thus excellent surface structure, extremely good light dispersion and transparancy which make for fascinating vitality and brilliance of the ceramic. In addition, Duceram LFC is not affected by multiple firings.

The new IPS d.SIGN® porcelain is a milestone in the evolution of the metal-ceramic technology. This ceramic closely simulates the optical characteristics of natural tooth structure while providing maximum strength and durability. IPS d.SIGN ceramic comes closer to mimicking all of the properties of natural teeth than any other dental material to date.

IPS d.SIGN® Porcelain is a revolutionary, patented, “Fluorapitite-Leucite Glass-Ceramic.” It has some unique properties that enhance its esthetics and its wear characteristics. The unique crystal shape mimics enamel.

It can be used with PFM crowns and bridges to produce bright colors and high translucency. Many dentists are reluctant to reduce the amount of tooth that laboratory technicians would like in order to give them room to produce vitality in a PFM restoration. IPS d.SIGN® Porcelain can help because it's fluorapatite crystals scatter light better than conventional feldspathic porcelains. An opaque layer may not be required over the metal, thus giving the technician more room for the porcelain and creating the appearance of greater depth in the restoration.

IPS d.SIGN® Porcelain also has superior wear characteristics. It is similar to enamel in this regard. For those of you that haven't considered the wear on opposing teeth from conventional PFM restorations, look at your patients a little more closely. It's a real problem. Since IPS d.SIGN® Porcelain wears the same as enamel, you will not be destroying the opposing dentition when you place these restorations. This is especially significant in the maxillary anterior region, where many mandibular incisors see excessive wear.

The highly innovative processing technology for all-ceramic offered by IPS Empress is creating new potential for producing natural looking restorations. A. Wohlwend at the University of Zurich further developed the idea of moulding heated ceramic to reproduce accurate ceramic copies of wax models.

The ceramic is based on glass that contains latent nucleating agents. In a process comprising several stages, controlled crystallization is used to produce leucite cyrstals, measuring a few microns, in the glass matrix.

The semi-finished product of leucite-reinforced ceramic powder is pressed into ingots and sinctered. These ingots are the basic components from which dental technicians press restorations.

ERIS for E2

IPS Eris, the new all-ceramic material fabricated from lithium disilicate crystals and a glass ceramic overlay. The lithium disilicate glass-ceramic is incredibly dense, which provides added strength and stability to bridge spans. A member of the IPS Empress® system, the layering material in IPS Eris contains a fluorapatite crystalline microstructure that enhances biocompatibility and supports the light dispersing properties similar to those found in natural tooth structure.

The enhanced strength of the IPS Eris materials enables conventional cementation techniques to be utilized when clinical conditions prohibit adhesive techniques.

Cercon® Zirconia is an innovative system for esthetic metal-free crowns and bridges. The reliability of Cercon® Zirconia restorations is backed by more than five years of proven clinical success. The system is used to fabricate anterior or posterior single units or multi-unit bridge restorations out of translucent, biocompatible zirconia, the strongest and toughest dental ceramic. Cercon® Zirconia restorations can be placed with conventional cementation or adhesive bonding techniques. Procera® AllZircon combines higher and aesthetic solidity. The material is biocompatible because it contains sintered Zirconium oxide with high density; it ensures an aesthetic exellente thus in the long run.

Procera® AllZircon is translucent to give to the tooth a natural aspect. Procera® AllZircon also masks very well surface qualities as the canal amalgams and obturations. Optimized impression scanning minimizes the need for clinical models
D700 is optimized for impression scanning and effectively scans impressions and deep inlays where single camera scanners often are blinded by the cavity.

With D700 the traditional time consuming, dusty and less accurate model making steps is eliminated and impression scanning capabilities is realized through an unparalleled combination of the 3Shape patented 'adaptive scanning' technology and the two cameras with reduced angle.

By instantly going from a physical impression to a high accuracy digital model, turnaround time is reduced significantly as CAD-design and parallel manufacturing of model, coping or crown can start immediately. In some clinical cases the model might not be needed at all, as the 3Shape only adaptive scanning technology intelligently detects incomplete areas and automatically rescans these areas to obtain full coverage of the geometry.

The immediate digitalization of the impression also offers a unique opportunity to initiate client/lab case communication faster, particularly if the scanning takes place in the dentist's office.
